We are more than excited to say... we have finalised our top 10 startups for our 2023 cohort!
Representing 7 different countries and bringing many impactful ideas, this cohort is ready to make a global impact in the food sector. It’s going to be great.

🌟 Edible Cutlery (Australia): Cutlery that's deliciously edible, plant-based, and nutritious. If not eaten, it can be composted *read their blog here*
🌟 Kelpy (Australia): Kelpy is an algae biotech company with a seaweed polymer innovation capable of replacing plastic products on standard manufacturing equipment
🌟 Nanobubble Agritech (New Zealand): Build systems that add super high amounts of oxygen to outdoor irrigation water, for improved growth rate, yield and water use efficiency
🌟 Natural Trace (Singapore): An invisible tamper-proof, food-grade, bio-barcode for agri-food supply chain traceability where and when you need it *read their blog here*
🌟 Tiiga (United States): Combines sustainably produced and ethically sourced African superfruit baobab with natural, nutrient-dense ingredients to make healthy functional beverages *read their blog here*

🌟 Urban Tiller (Singapore): Redefining nutrition through sustainable leaf-based ingredients *read their blog here*
🌟 WINIM (Argentina): Innovative system to track stock and expiry dates on shelves and fight waste in retailers like supermarkets and pharmacies *read their blog here*
From the end of August to November, these 11 startups will be validating their business models, developing their pitches, and learning heaps about the Tassie food sector! They will contribute to the themes of circular economy, sustainable packaging solutions, functional food, and ingredient tech.
There’s so much they will gain in just a few months' time!
