Take a peak at whose in our EnergyNext 2023 Accelerator Program

We have 9 epic startups in our EnergyNext 2023 Accelerator Program, who are working to solve challenges in the circular economy, plastic waste, renewable energy, water filtration, hydrogen production and reusable packaging.

Curious to know how our EnergyNext Accelerator helps them do this?

From August to October, our program cultivates a healthy community for startups to meet like-minded founders and to learn crucial startup knowledge to rapidly grow. At the start, they take a deep dive into the energy landscape and look at ways they can improve their value propositions or minimum viable product (MVP) design.

Once the groundwork is in place, founders begin to explore corporate-startup collaborations, evaluate the measurement of their sales pipeline, and map out their competitor analysis strategies. They also study tips on how to respond to press, deliver impactful product demos, deal with ethics and compliance, along with how to build an impactful Go-To-Market strategy.

Throughout our program, startups connect with incredible mentors from all around the globe who have been in their shoes before. These influential mentors use their past experiences and expertise to offer startups helpful advice in their specific niches.

By the end of the program, startups use the new knowledge and skills they’ve gained with SBC to pitch for investment from our investor community.

This program is the perfect opportunity to elevate an energy startup and we are so happy to have such a diverse group of startups this year in our 2023 cohort.

Let’s learn who is in EnergyNext2023 below:

🌻 AdaptiveH2: making hydrogen production more affordable and accessible for everyone to create a more sustainable future.

💰 LendForGood: a new blockchain-based crowd-lending platform on a mission democratise impact investing to fuel the growth of impact enterprises.

💧 Loop Refine: a water tech startup offering a blend of filtration membranes and reaction optimisation software to save $$$ per m3 of wastewater.

🌿 Nature Electric: provides AI-powered SaaS and offer real-time renewable energy and scope 1&2 emissions tracking.

🌞 Paradigm Power: uses the excess of solar generation to power up a distributed datacenter.

🌱 Plante: provides price-competitive, alternative plastic products made from food waste, starting with coconut fibre, to end reliance on plastic pots in the gardening sector.

⚡️ Reswitch: helps renewable energy developers communicate and share the value of their projects with host communities.

🏡 Volta: helps residential users save energy and money by providing insights, recommendations, and access to rebates and grants. We empower users to make sustainable choices and create a greener future for their homes.

📦 ZeroTag: makes reusable packaging and zero-waste retail interactive, allowing sustainable brands to deliver new experiences with every refill.

So far, some key lessons the startups have taken away are, firstly, to build what matters. It’s crucial to create a product or service that solves a problem in the industry whilst also talking to your customers and testing it out beforehand to see if it’s something people would need.

Another lesson they’ve gained is to “practice, practice, practice.” Nobody knows a product or service more than the founder, so it’s necessary for them to tailor their message to their specific audience, so it’s super clear of what they want to achieve.

Lastly, we’ve been telling our founders to “not overcomplicate it.” Instead focus on what matters and let the rest follow.

We can't believe that these startups are already 70% done with the 2023 program, but thrilled to have seen an immense amount of growth in such a short period of time.

The EnergyNext 2023 Accelerator Program will soon wrap up at our exciting Demo Day happening at SXSW in Sydney, Australia. Startups will be pitching their final pitches at the ‘Tech & Innovation Startup Village’ Event and the ‘Sydney Pitch Rounds’ Event on the 18th and 19th of October to finish up their 3 month journey with us! We’d love for you to stop by.

A huge thank you to our program partner, LaunchVic, and our incredible community of mentors and investors for helping EnergyNext 2023 happen.

As a community, we are ecstatic to see how these startups will drive change in the energy sector in the near future.
