Welcome to FoodTech Tasmania Demo Day 2023

Celebrating Tasmanian Food Innovation Ecosystem

FoodTech Tasmania looks toward a better tomorrow by bringing together innovation and passion. Together, we strive to make an active change by reimagining and advancing the sustainable food ecosystem through accelerating outstanding startups from around the world who challenge the status quo and share our mission.

Our cohort of ten trail-blazing startup and scaleup companies will pitch their innovative solutions contributing to a more sustainable food ecosystem. The cohort are extremely diverse, from cutting-edge biotechnology that upcycles agricultural wastes to valuable bioproducts, sustainable bioplastic packaging solutions made from seaweed, AI-powered stock inventory management system to reduce food waste, and food product traceability solution throughout the entire supply chain to ensure that every great product comes with a trusted providence story.

We will be live streaming the event. Join us and our program partners including the Tasmanian Government, Meat & Livestock Australia, Norske Skog, Hort Innovation, ALDI, Du Cane Brewery, Earthy Eats, FermenTasmania, and Launceston Gastronomy as we showcase these amazing companies. We would also like sincerely thank the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry for sponsoring all major events of the program.

This unique event will be held in a hybrid format, both in person at Du Cane Brewery in Launceston, Tasmania, and via live stream virtually by VIPs from across government, investment, business, the food industry, the press, as well as the Australian and international startup communities.
