About Gerald
Gerald is a founder, venture builder, and climate-tech advisor with over 20 years of leadership experience across global energy corporates, venture-backed startups, and innovation programmes in Southeast Asia. He is the founder of Simpler Supply and former CEO of Connected Freight, where he led a strategic transformation to a high-margin SaaS model addressing freight decarbonisation in Asian cities. Prior to this, Gerald held senior executive roles at Shell, leading large, complex businesses across multiple markets and leading digital and sustainability transformations at scale. Today, Gerald focuses on supporting early-stage climate-tech ventures in Southeast Asia, advising founders on commercial strategy, market entry, and scaling in emerging markets. He has worked with startups across decarbonisation, circularity, logistics, and materials science, and brings a strong operator’s perspective to bridging the gap between technology and real-world adoption. He has a particular passion for turning climate ambition into impact in his home region of Southeast Asia.
