Managing Director - Energy
Richard has an extensive background in innovation with Australian corporates and the startup community. When he was not riding one of his multiple bikes (you can never have too many) Richard managed three Startups in Fintech, Proptech and export sectors. His strong connections with corporate Australia have included executive roles in leading ASX and private companies in strategy, innovation, and technology roles. Whilst running a corporate incubator Richard first started working with SBC as a mentor on one of the first EnergyNext programs several years ago whilst looking into investable opportunities in solar installations and renewable energy, which has led to his current role in running the program.

About the program
Learn how to accelerate your business with industry-leading best practices
During our energetic 10 week pre-accelerator program, 10 individuals and teams will receive hands-on mentorship from industry professionals and opportunities to build a team and connect with mentors and investors.
We know new founders balance work, life and startups: EnergyInc is designed to accommodate your existing commitments. Our hybrid curriculum requires 3 hours per week and is delivered online, with in-person networking and collaboration opportunities.
Structured around three pillars: Ideate, Validate, Build; we help you test your idea for robustness, customer validation and dynamic business model design. We put emphasis on identifying the needs of all participants and providing tailored support.
By the end of the program, you’ll have validated your businesses with real-world customers, established a network of industry professionals and developed both personal and professional skills, launching you, as a founder, into the world of startups. Graduates will present their startup journeys at the Showcase Event attended by industry leaders, potential investors and our network.
