Victorian Clean Technology Fund
The Victorian Clean Technology Fund has been providing critical seed and pre-seed funding to clean technology start-ups for 18 years. VCTF fills a notoriously difficult gap, offering venture and loan funding to support early-stage companies, when alternative funding is either not available or insufficient to demonstrate the technological or commercial potential of a new technology. In short, VCTF effectively de-risks those companies for subsequent investment by larger funds.
VCTF has invested in 26 companies, fostering multiple new technologies and supporting hundreds of new, highly-skilled jobs. VCTF has made investments in over 10 different cleantech sectors including renewable power, alternate fuels, recycling and waste, energy efficient manufacturing and energy storage/management.
