Meet the 9 best early stage Sport & EventTech startups from around the world.

Melbourne, 10 May 2022

After a World-wide process, meeting, interviewing and reviewing thousands of sports & event tech startups, the top 9 global companies have been selected to join the 2022 Sport & Event Tech Program at Startupbootcamp.

The Program begins at the start of June, putting these high potential businesses through rigorous training so they come out stronger and more prepared to scale market growth.

With the rise of new technologies (eg, NFTs and other blockchain based solutions) and post-COVID digital adoption (eg, digital ticketing) we’re in a wave of massive disruption in the sport and event tech industry. The 10 selected startups are driving this change.

These 9 startups, with the program partners, Cricket Australia, Australia Grand Prix Corporation, Victoria Racing Club, Melbourne Racing Club, Netball Australia, Rowing Australia, University of Melbourne and LaunchVic, are committed to innovating the industry for the benefit of our community and our athletes.

Meet the 9 startups:

  1. Aphetor is a disruptive creator-led sports/entertainment property, built for Web3 and the born digital generation.
  2. Firefly Initiative sponsors volunteers for the time they record in their community and sells those hours to companies looking for frictionless CSR and ESG compliance.
  3. HomeGround is an AI platform that helps aspiring cricketers and coaches get access to professional-level training metrics right on their smartphone.
  4. IN.LIVE is the leading Web2+Web3 streaming solution for creators to market, distribute and monetize their content while maintaining control of their brand and work.
  5. MatchKit is a mobile web app that enables athletes to better commercialise their off field opportunities - from brand building via a professional profile, a curation of best content and social reach and engagement and the ability to crowdfund or sell merchandise.
  6. MyFanPark provides innovative digital solutions to brands, businesses and sponsors looking to maximise fan engagement.
  7. Sonnant is an AI-powered, enterprise grade, SaaS platform. With our APIs, broadcasters, content owners / creators / publishers can fast-track and automate content workflows, enhance promotional capabilities and turn voice and video content into rich data for targeting and monetisation.
  8. SparkUp Studios is a web3 fan engagement & analytics company that helps sports properties grow and optimise fan communities via gamified solutions and avail of multiple revenue streams while generating first-party fan behaviour data.
  9. Treiner is a Web 3.0 Recruitment Platform for Sports Coaching & Support Staff.
