Waste is expensive! The physical collection of waste can cost a lot of money, but it also costs a lot of time, because changing regulations and recycling rules make taking out the trash guess at best and a confusing time-drain at worst. If you manage a business, that’s a problem. A very real problem. Expensive services and inefficient uses of time can be the difference between a businesses success and failure.

It’s time for the world to rethink the bin, which is exactly what we are doing at Eywa.

EYWA is an onsite waste-to-energy bin which allows businesses to convert common waste materials (receipts, yogurt tubs, coffee cups etc) into green electricity. With EYWA you can save time, money & the environment all at once! Using a combination of thermochemical treatments (‘pyrolysis combined with high temperature fuel cells), the EYWA unit will process upwards of 80% of business trash onsite and convert it into usable green electricity.

Multiple Waste types vs One Waste Type: No existing product can upgrade multiple waste types in one place. Even kerbside bins require the separation of waste streams. EYWA is an everything bin - put all your waste inside & it will worry about all the rest!

Upgrading vs Removal: Products like compactors realise cost savings by decreasing the frequency of collection. By upgrading waste into electricity EYWA allows SME’s to realise both collection cost savings & power cost savings.

Decentralised vs Centralised: 90% of centralised waste management costs are associated with the collection & transportation of waste. EYWA is an onsite solution.

Design Thinkers vs Not Design Thinkers: Existing waste solutions aren’t designed with the user in mind. Complicated rules & bulky designs make waste a hassle to deal with. We think that users should have to do as little as possible; whether it be lifting a lid or pushing a button, ideally users don’t have to do either.
